If Amateur Hackers Can Crack Our Machines
The Chinese Commuists Can Destroy Our Republic

Amateur Hackers During Weekend Lark in
New York City Cracked All of
America'sVoting Machines

Amateur hackers were able to compromise every single piece of electronic voting equipment in use in America at a conference last year, proving that the 2018 election is in jeopardy. I will explain what the hackers did below.

The 2018 election is coming up faster than anyone realizes and the time to secure our elections is NOW!

The House is working on a bill called the PAPER Act (HR 3751), which is short for the “Protecting the American Process for Election Results Act.”

This act bans the use of voting machines that do not produce a visible paper copy of your ballot as a backup. It is the only way sure-fire way to secure our elections against electronic vote fraud.

But there is not a single piece of legislation in the US Senate right now to deal with election security. Your help is needed change that!

You must urge the Republican Senators to adopt and pass a Senate version of the PAPER Act immediately!

Just how vulnerable are America’s elections?

The technology industry hosts a conference every year in New York for hackers and electronics hobbyists. The conference is called DefCon.

At the 2017 DefCon, the conference organizers set up a Voting Village in the hotel. They brought in 25 different pieces of currently-in-use election machines, everything from voting machines to electronic poll books.

The devices included voting machines from Diebold, AVS WinVote, AccuVote and others.

The conference told the amateur hacker attendees to go wild and see if they could compromise any of the voting machines.

Even with no prior experience with any of these machines, the hackers were able to compromise EVERY voting machine over the course of a weekend of partying in New York. Every single one!

The hackers altered vote totals, erased audit logs, loaded malware onto voting systems and caused machines to crash.

If a bunch of drunk amateur hackers can compromise every current piece of voting technology in use in America, imagine what a determined, well-funded hostile foreign power like Communist China could do!

With all the technological wizardry that we have available today, it is truly insane that America cannot build secure election machines.

The smartphone in your pocket has a GPS locator in it and the phone probably takes better pictures than any camera you owned a few years ago. You can even connect your new refrigerator to your Wi-Fi if you want to, so it can send an alert to your phone when you’re out of milk.

But we cannot produce a voting machine that prints out a paper copy of your ballot as a security backup?

That’s an outrage!

And the fact that the US Senate has not taken a single step to secure our elections is an outrage as well.

The PAPER Act requires any voting machine used in federal elections to print a visible, paper copy of your ballot when you vote. That paper ballot goes in a secure ballot box in case anything goes wrong with the machines.

HR 3751 will make our elections safer and more secure if we can convince the Senate to pass it.

Send your Personal Letters to the GOP Senators today and urge the Republicans to pass a Senate version of the PAPER Act!

NOTE:  Please send as many Action Letters to Congress as you can and DEMAND that Voter ID be required in EVERY state of this great country!

INCREASE YOUR IMPACT:  After sending your Action Letters, please also contact your Congressman directly.  This campaign is expecially important as voting dates for the 2018 elections are upon us.  I have included my cellphone number so we can plan the best approach for you.  Please do your best to participate.

In addition, please share this message on your social media pages with your family members, friends and acquaintances:

We are truly thankful to you for using Poll Watchers' services to engage with Congress.

Sincerely,

Dear Majority Leader McConnell:

In New York City in 2017 at an amateur computer hacker convention an unbelievable event occurred, an event that does not bode well for America.

At the convention, amateur hackers were able to compromise every single piece of electronic voting equipment currently in use and available.

The 2018 election is coming up faster than anyone realizes and the time to secure our elections is NOW!

Your colleagues in the House are now working on a bill called the PAPER Act (HR 3751), which is short for the "Protecting the American Process for Election Results Act."  The House version of the PAPER Act has bipartisan support. This act bans the use of voting machines that do not produce a visible paper copy of your ballot as a backup. It is the only way sure-fire way to secure our elections against electronic vote fraud. But there is not a single piece of legislation in the US Senate right now to deal with election security.

The PAPER Act requires any voting machine used in federal elections to print a paper copy of each ballot which the voter examines and then put into a secure ballot box in case anything goes wrong with the machines.

HR 3751 will make our elections safer and more secure so PLEASE get right to work on passing your own version of the PAPER Act.
